Albanian Military Officer, Zarife Hasanaj killed in Latvia

Zarife Hasanaj, an Albanian military officer from Bajram Curri, resident in Babrru, died today in Latvia by the explosion of a landmine.

She and other Albanian officers were in Latvia as part of the Canadian-led battalion, at Camp Adazi. They were to return to their country by June.



The 32-year-old, according to the Albanain Ministry, was attending a joint training during the explosion that also left Klodian Nikolle Tanushi and Julian Xhevat Kapaj injured.
